SUTD was pleased to welcome a delegation of Japanese officials as part of the 29th Raffles Programme on 8 August 2025. Hosted by the Future Communications Connectivity Lab (FCCLab), the visit included presentations where we shared insights into our ongoing R&D efforts under the Future Communications R&D Programme (FCP).
The delegation also experienced a series of technology showcases that highlight the potential of next-generation communications, including:
- A video demonstration of our Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) showcase in Expo 2025, Osaka – Singapore Pavilion
- Highlights from our Mobile World Congress (MWC) demonstration with the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT)
- A 5G robot demonstration recorded in StarHub Green, in collaboration with StarHub
These demonstrations showcased how FCP technologies can be translated into real-world applications.
We would like to thank the visiting officials for their time and interest in our activities and look forward to continued collaborations with Japan in advancing future communications technologies!
