On 25 August 2025, SUTD had the honour of hosting Amini, a leading deep-tech company providing AI-native sovereign data infrastructure for the Global South, at our Future Communications Connectivity Lab (FCCLab).

The programme began with welcome remarks and an overview of FCCLab’s vision and roadmap, followed by a guided lab tour and technical briefing featuring demonstrations and a Q&A session.

Over lunch, the Amini team and FCCLab researchers engaged in informal exchanges before continuing with joint technical discussions on the upcoming MWC 2026 Barcelona demo, key testbed learnings, prospective research projects, and collaboration planning.

As a newly joined and active member of the AI-RAN Alliance, Amini also shared perspectives on how AI-driven innovation can transform the RAN ecosystem, particularly in the Global South, creating further opportunities for collaboration in the AI-RAN space.

The visit concluded with a wrap-up discussion and a group photo. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with Amini and advancing collaborative research in AI, AI-RAN, future communications, and beyond.
