The Asia & Pacific OTIC in Singapore (APOS) hosted the O-RAN Global PlugFest Fall 2025 from 25 August to 5 December 2025 (including the week for O-RAN ALLIANCE readout presentations and demonstrations).
This event brought together leading technology partners to validate, innovate, and push the boundaries of open and interoperable 5G networks.
Key highlights:
- 5 O-RAN ALLIANCE members (Calnex Solutions, DeepSig, Keysight Technologies, Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT), and VIAVI Solutions) participated in the O-RAN Global PlugFest Fall 2025 at APOS.
- Tested GenAI Channel Model: We integrated DeepSig’s generative AI–based channel model into an end-to-end (E2E) O-RAN 5G system and benchmarked it against the 3GPP-based channel model. We achieved comparable uplink performance across both channel models, demonstrating the potential of AI-driven channel model for wireless testing and performance evaluation.
- Completed Interoperability Test (IOT) with QCT’s O-RU and Cloud-Native NVIDIA Aerial O-DU on Red Hat OpenShift: Successfully deployed NVIDIA Aerial 5G Low-DU and OpenAirInterface (OAI) CU/High-DU on QCT GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip using Red Hat OpenShift. We achieved high UL/DL throughput and applied SR-IOV fronthaul virtualization, and MIG partitioning – matching performance of the bare-metal deployment.
- Completed E2E Test with QCT OmniPOD ver2.0: Using Keysight E2E testing solutions, we validated TIFG E2E tests with support for eMBB and URLLC slices and achieved excellent performance across TIFG E2E test cases.
This PlugFest demonstrates the power of collaboration, openness, and innovation in shaping the future of 5G networks.
