We are excited to share that the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) showcased a cutting-edge Physical-AI demo together with Keysight Technologies and QCT at the 3GPP Technical Specification Group (TSG) #112 Plenary Meetings, held on 8-12 June in Singapore.

3GPP is a global consortium of telecommunications standard development organisations responsible for defining the technical specifications that shape cellular telecommunications technologies, including 5G-Advanced and future 6G standards. This 3GPP meeting, hosted by Keysight Technologies in Singapore, brings together global experts to advance the next generation of mobile communications.

In collaboration with Keysight Technologies and QCT, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) demonstrated the testing of Physical-AI-on-RAN scenarios, using VLM token traffic for robotics use cases alongside traditional telco traffic such as web and voice. The demo also involved large-scale emulated user equipment to better reflect future real-world network conditions.

This collaboration highlights the importance of bringing AI, robotics and telecommunications together as the industry moves toward 6G, where intelligent applications will place new demands on network performance, reliability and testing.
